When a leading Mid-Atlantic natural gas utility set an ambition to grow its non-regulated renewable energy portfolio from $1 billion to $6 billion, it needed more than a traditional consultant. Landfill Gas-to-RNG Program Management for East Coast Utility

An East Coast Utility pursued an ambitious strategy to convert two active municipal solid waste landfills into pipeline-quality RNG facilities — structured as 50/50 joint ventures with a combined capital investment of nearly $100 million. THAMPICO was engaged as ECU's dedicated program management support partner from pre-construction planning through construction. The THAMPICO team supported the utility client by providing a range of services including: bi-weekly executive reporting, action item tracking, permit matrices, a live risk register, and SharePoint document management — all while serving as the primary coordination layer across stakeholder organizations including the JV partner, engineering firms, utilities, landfill authorities, and legal counsel. The result was a disciplined, transparent program that kept two of ECU's most complex capital projects advancing concurrently toward construction.
